VIVIAN ELIZABETH MURLIN, born June 17, 1914 in Vici, Okla. to Edward O. and Nancy B. (Lynes) Murlin passed from this life on Jan. 16, 2006 at the age of 91. She was the sixth child born to her parents.

Vivian attended school at Vici, and except for a short period of time spent in Noel, Mo. and Sparks, Okla. she spent her entire life living in Vici.

Vivian worked as a service station attendant for a time and for many years in the dry cleaning business with her brother. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Vivian always enjoyed stopping at a good garage sale and liked to collect salt and pepper shakers.

She was baptized on Feb. 16, 1958 into the First Christian Church of Vici, Okla. She remained a faithful member as long as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Nancy Murlin; by her sister, Lola Murlin; by her brothers, Harry, Earl, Orval and Dale; by nephew, Darrel Murlin, by nieces, Betty Ann Murlin and Rita Riley; and by great-niece, Tracy Murlin.

Those left to cherish her memory are nephew, Gerald Murlin and wife Erma of Woodward; by nieces, Norma McClendon and husband Earl of Eufaula, Dorothy Murlin of Sharon; her sister-in-law, Thelma Murlin of Woodward; and several other family members.

Services were held Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006 at the First Christian Church, Vici, Okla. Interment following at the Sunnyside Cemetery, Vici, Okla. under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home, Vici, Okla.
