Woodward’s boys advanced to the semifinals of the Eagle Soccer Classic in Weatherford while the girls lost their first-round match Thursday night.

The boys defeated Lawton Eisenhower in a shootout.

The score was 1-1 at the end of regulation with Caleb Alexander scoring the Woodward goal. In the shootout, the Boomers got goals from Michael Hale, Reagan Dezort, Conner Smith and Kedrin Coleman for the 4-3 victory.

Kevin Morales handled goal keeping duties for the Boomers, now 1-2 this season.

Woodward faces Weatherford at noon on Saturday in the semfinals.

The girls lost 6-1 to Lawton Ike and will face El Reno at 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Haylee Bates had the goal for the Boomers, who fall to 1-2.
