ALTUS - The Woodward boys continued to impress with a 63-58 win over the Altus Bulldogs, a top 15 team in Class 5A, Saturday.

Seth Heckart had 25 points, Casey Covalt scored 14 and Matt McDonald 13 as the Boomers improved to 11-7 on the season.

In the girls game, the Boomers struggles continued as Altus, a state tournament team in 5A last year, posted a 54-45 victory.

Carli Covalt led Woodward with 17 points and Kori Ham scored 13.

The Boomers fell to 7-11.

Woodward had three games in the upcoming week, all on the road.

The Boomers go to Clinton on Tuesday, Elk City on Friday and Enid on Saturday.
