Woodward woman injured in accident

WATONGA — A Woodward woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday near Watonga.

Evelynn A. Morris, 75, was taken to Watonga Mercy Hospital, then transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where she was admitted in stable condition with head, arm, leg and trunk injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

The accident happened at 4:18 p.m. on Oklahoma 3 about 1 1/2 miles east of Watonga.

According to the report, Morris was driving a 2008 Honda Civic west on Oklahoma 3 when her vehicle went off the road to the right and hit a utility pole.

Morris' condition was listed a apparently normal, and the cause of the accident is under investigation, according to the report. She was wearing a seat belt.
