Gary Goins and his wife noticed a dark spot in the trees nearby when they stopped by Champlin Park for lunch, but they didn’t really pay attention until bees started to fly around their lunch, Gary said. He stopped to take a few pictures then they finished their lunch, he said, adding the bees “weren’t really that interested in us.” Alison Burchett was contacted to collect the bees.
