Voters will go to the polls Tuesday for the July 9 Special Election for Sharon-Mutual Schools, Woodward County Election Board Secretary Carol Carrell said.

Sharon-Mutual patrons will be deciding a pair of bond issues. The first is for $14,180,000 for additional classrooms and a gym at the Sharon-Mutual Elementary School. The second is a $500,000 transportation bond.

School bond issues require 60 percent approval for passage.

A couple of things to remember as the election approaches.

- Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Anyone in line to vote at 7 p.m. will be allowed to cast a ballot.

- Anyone who needs to look up their polling place, verify their registration information, or view a sample ballot can do so online. The Online Voter Tool can be accessed on the Oklahoma State Election Board’s website:

- Oklahoma law requires every voters to bring proof of identity with them to the voting precinct.
