Didn't get your fill with the Elks Rodeo last week? Visit the Seiling Open Rodeo held Aug. 4-6 at the Flying W Arena.

This will be the 31st annual Seiling Open Rodeo.

The rodeo spans Thursday through Saturday nights and includes all major rodeo events plus a couple of extras.

Events include bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie down roping, women's breakaway roping, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing, junior barrel racing, bull riding and ranch bronc riding.

The rodeo is sanctioned by the IPRA and is also part of the Kansas and Texas rodeo circuits.

Other special events include mutton bustin' for the kids all three nights and a calf scramble on Friday and Saturday. Women's calf tying is scheduled for Saturday.

Rodeo action starts at 8 p.m. each night.

A town dance with live music takes place Friday and Saturday nights.

Starting at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday is the parade and activities. Gunfighters will perform before the parade and there is a hot dog feed provided by the Seiling Chamber of Commerce after the parade.

Wear red on Friday to support the troops and Saturday is pink out night.
