After holding on to beat Guymon 12-11 on Thursday, the Boomers are home tonight to face Class 6A Enid.
The sub-varsity game begins at 5 p.m. with the varsity following at approximately 7 p.m.
In the Guymon game, Braden Todd drove in four runs and Eric Luthi had three hits and scored three times to pace the offense. Drake Smithton was the winning pitcher with Shawn Hunter coming on in the seventh to get the save.
Woodward also won the sub-varsity game 11-6.
Woodward takes an 8-6 record into tonigh'ts game with with six victories in its last seven contests.
Enid is 9-8 and split its last two games, Centennial Conference matchups against Stillwater, losing 9-2 and winning 7-3.
The teams have not faced any common opponents.
The Boomers are in a busy portion of their schedule as they go to Altus on Saturday for games against the Bulldogs and Anadarko, then host Weatherford on Monday and play in the Bethany-Piedmont Tournament beginning Wednesday.
Woodward's JV team plays at 2 p.m. today against Fargo in the Shattuck Tournament.
The Boomer soccer teams are also in action tonight, visiting Guymon for district matches.
Earlier in the year, the teams met in non-district action with Woodward's girls and Guymon's boys picking up wins.
Match time for the girls is 4 p.m. and the boys are set for 6 p.m.
Both Woodward squads are coming off victories over Kingfisher on Tuesday as the girls won 4-3 in a shootout and the boys grabbed a 4-2 victory.
The Boomer girls are 3-5 overall and Guymon is 2-4.
Woodward's boys are 5-3 on the season while Guymon is 4-2.
The Boomer softball team will try and bounce back from a disappointing performance against Weatherford on Tuesday with a game at Hammon tonight.
Game time is 4:30 p.m.
Woodward did little right in a 12-4 loss to the Eagles. The Boomers are 3-5 on the season.
Woodward and Hammon did meet once this year with the Warriors taking a 9-1 win on their home field. Freshman Peyton Walker leads a potent Hammon lineup.
Hammon is 9-6 after a loss to Sentinel on Tuesday.
The Boomers will return home Friday to face Vici at 4:30 p.m. before going to Elk City on Saturday to complete a rain-delayed tournament.
