3 Freedom residents die in accident

MOORELAND — Three Freedom residents were killed Friday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident near Mooreland.

Vickie I. Limestall, 55; Marvin L. Nixon, 65; and a 12-year-old girl all died at the scene, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. OHP does not release the names of juveniles.

The accident happened at 2 p.m. on State Highway 50 about 9 mines north of Mooreland.

According to the report, Limestall was driving a 2000 Ford F350 pickup north on Oklahoma 50 when the vehicle went off the road to the right and hit a tree. All three were pronounced dead at the scene and were taken to the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office in Oklahoma City.

The report lists the condition of the driver as unknown and the cause of the accident as under investigation. No one was wearing a seat belt. The road was dry at the time, according to the report.

In another accident on Friday in Harper County an Enid woman was hospitalized after her pickup went off the road on U. S. Highway 183 and rolled one time, the OHP said.

Jana L. Campbell, 65, was taken first to Harper County Community Hospital in Buffalo, then by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where she was admitted in stable condition with trunk injuries, the OHP said.

The accident happen about a mile north of Buffalo just a little after noon, according to the report.
