A man from Perryton, Texas, is facing four felony charges in Woodward.

Charges were filed in Woodward County District Court on Monday for three counts of first degree rape and one count of attempted first degree rape, against Dakota Matthew Anaya, 21, according to court records.

According to the affidavits filed by Woodward Det. Darren Navratil, Anaya is accused of meeting with and raping, or attempting to rape, three separate victims between July and September of 2017.

According to the affidavits, one victim met with Anaya on the walking trail and the alleged assault took place there. Another first met Anaya on social media and the alleged assault took place at Crystal Beach, and in the third case, the victim was allegedly assaulted twice at Anaya's residence at that time in Woodward.

Bench warrants were issued for Anaya’s arrest on Tuesday, according to court records. Bond on the bench warrants is $100,000.

Anaya was convicted of sexual abuse of a child in April of 2017 by the General Court Martial by the U.S. Army, according to records.

First degree rape carries a punishment of imprisonment for five years to life and attempted rape in the first degrees carries a penalty of imprisonment for two and a half years to life, if convicted.
