Construction bids are the big items on the Woodward Board of Education agenda Monday night.
School board members are slated to consider awarding a total of approximately $127,000 in connection with six projects relating to the construction of a Hitting Facility/Weight Room. These projects vary from painting, which brought in a bid of $2,000, to electrical work, which brought in bids around $49,600 to $55,900.
The school board is also slated to consider awarding more than $300,000 in bids for 10 different projects related to the construction of an ag barn, from fire alarm installation, bringing bids between $7,400 to $11,700, to concrete work, bringing in bids around $49,000.
In addition, the board is set to review bids for landscaping and irrigation at the Early Childhood Center as well as consider accepting "the donation from the Stock Exchange Bank for the purpose of enhancing the Early Childhood Center's appearance."
Another donation will also be before the board for acceptance, as Aaron's Sales has presented the school district with a donation of televisions.
In other business, the Woodward school board will consider:
• a flex Wednesday proposal for Woodward High School;
• an agreement with Edulog for ASP routing and scheduling software and services;
• a contract renewal with Chas. W. Carroll, P.A., for the FY 2009-2010 audit to be conducted in FY 2010-2011; and
• an executive session to discuss Superintendent Vickie Williams' contract for 2010-2011 and administrative salary schedules.
Then in addition to routine items such as the superintendent's report and treasurer's report, the school board will take time during its meeting to recognize some recently recognized students and teachers including 2010 Teacher of the Year Amy Whitewater and 2010 Gaylord Award winner Patsy McIlvain.
The Woodward Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the board room of the school administration building at 1023 10th St.
