Woodward’s sales tax numbers grew at a modest pace in the August distribution.

The city received $875,178.41 for August, up over $12,000 from last year’s $862,907.15 total. The numbers do not include any tobacco taxes.

The period of business represented covers June 16 through July 15, and the big event through that time frame was the Fourth of July holiday.

Several other area communities saw growth as well.

The sales tax numbers for Woodward County were up just over $1,000.
