Woodward High School FFA will be holding its end of the year banquet May 8 at 6 p.m. in the Woodward High School commons.

“It’s where we’ll be recognizing all of our winners,” said Agriculture Instructor Nathan Torrance.

Several awards will be given to FFA members and two State FFA Degree recipients will be honored along with an American Degree. Also honored will be Outstanding FFA Mom and Dad.

FFA President Kami Jensen will be giving her retiring address and next year’s FFA officers will be announced.

“It’s been a really good year,” said Torrance. “There have been a lot of good kids that have done a lot of good things.”

Woodward High School’s FFA was ranked in the top 20 in the state this year and received the status of 2 Star Gold Emblem National Chapter.

According to Torrance numbers of students in FFA is on the rise as well as the number of projects done. Torrance said that the FFA students have really shown a great interest in learning about agriculture this year.

“We’re looking forward to another good year,” said Torrance.
