Bids will be the order of the day for both the Woodward City and County Commissions during their regular meetings Monday.

The county commissioners will consider bids for new equipment, while the city commissioners are set to consider bids for several upcoming projects at Crystal Beach Park.

Woodward County Commissioners are set to open bids for a new motor grader in Highway District No. 3 and a new 4x4 pickup in Highway District No. 2 during their meeting Monday morning.

In addition to considering the purchase of this new equipment, the county commissioners will also be considering a number of resolutions to dispose of a variety of old equipment throughout the county. If approved, the resolutions will consign the old equipment to the statewide county equipment auction.

Other items before the county commission include selecting a chairman and vice-chairman for 2009, reviewing a request for a gas pipeline crossing in District No. 2, and considering requisition/receiving officers for the OSU Extension Service.

The Woodward County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday in the Woodward County Courthouse.

During their meeting Monday evening, Woodward City Commissioners are set to consider bids for a water line project and a pedestrian lighting project in addition to bids for parking and landscaping projects for each of the main venues.

In addition to these project bids for Crystal Beach Park, the commissioners will also be considering a third change order from Sawatzky Construction relative to the ongoing construction of the park’s new equipment building.

In other business, city commissioners will receive their monthly report from Accurate Environmental Services and will consider an ordinance that would grant a franchise to Suddenlink Communications for the construction and operation of a cable system. The commissioners are also set to review a cable television antenna site lease with Suddenlink Communications relative to the cable system.
