The Woodward City Commission has a short agenda planned for their regular meeting on Monday, July 16 at 7 p.m. in City Hall.
The city commissioners only have one action item scheduled, quotes for the parking lot project at the Lakeside 6 movie theaters.
According to a letter from Assistant City Manager Doug Haines which was included in the city agenda packet, the city first put the project out for bids. However, "In response to no bids received, the City proceeded forward in a Request for Quote 'RFQ', working directly with two potential contractors."
Quotes were received from Tom Hudson and Kline Mechanical on a number of different aspects of the parking lot project, including lighting upgrades, new asphalt paving, asphalt seal coat, concrete curbing, and concrete sidewalks. Those quotes were then tabulated, and after making certain unspecified "disallowances," the quote totals came to $84,379.78 from Hudson and $80,519 from Kline Mechanical.
In his letter, Haines has recommended the city award the quote to Kline Mechanical.
Under the city's consent agenda, which is reserved for "routine" items that are typically automatically approved by the commissioners without discussion, there are a number of supplemental budget amendments up for approval.
These budget amendments include:
• Amendment No. 1 to the FY 2012 Grant Fund Budget in the amount of $105,979.53;
• Amendment No. 1 to the FY 2012 Airport Fund Budget in the amount of $117,148.77;
• Amendment No. 4 to the FY 2012 Restricted Revenue Fund Budget in the amount of $734,953.28;
• and Amendment No. 1 to the FY 2012 Hotel-Motel Fund Budget in the amount of $8,622.23.
Both Haines and City Manager Alan Riffel were out of the office attending meetings on Friday and were unavailable to explain these budget amendments.
