The 26th National Two-Cylinder Show and the 31st Major County Historical Society Threshing Bee is coming to Fairview on Sept. 23-24.
On Sept. 23 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sept. 24 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. a number of family friendly events are taking place on the Major County Historical Society grounds located one and a half miles east of Fairview on Highway 58,
Events, exhibits and special demonstrations range from anvil shooting to ropemaking to a Lego train exhibit and parade are scheduled both days.
Also check out the working demonstrations including plowing, threshing, binding and corn shelling among others.
The weekend includes arts and crafts, a toy show and swap meet.
There is also a drawing for a 2016 International Harvest Farmall A tractor.
The Major County Historical Society encourages tours of the Sand Creek Heritage Museum, pioneer school, and veteran's memorial.
Admission is $7 per person with special senior and kid discounts available.
