Funeral services for James Longstreth, 30-year-old former Woodward resident, will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Living Word Fellowship in Woodward. The Rev. Ed Dowty will officiate. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Johnson’s Good Samaritan Funeral Service.

James Cody Longstreth was born Feb. 10, 1978 in Woodward, Okla. to Dale Lynn and Honey Jean (Ridenour) Longstreth. He grew up in Woodward and went to work in the oilfield, working for Cobra Enterprise and other companies. For the past year, he has made his home in Oklahoma City where he worked for Goober Drilling. James was married to Stacy Van Horn in Woodward and to this union, three children were born.

The love of his life was his children. He also loved the oilfield and enjoyed fishing, camping and boating.

Mr. Longstreth died Feb. 10, 2008 at his home in Bethany.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by two sons, Keeton Cody Longstreth and Kolton Dale Longstreth; a daughter, Kayla Ranae Longstreth, all of the home; his mother and father, Honey Jean and James Gill of Bethany; two brothers and their wives, Ricky Dale and Barbara Longstreth of Bethany and Karl and Deanna Williams of Woodward; a sister and her husband, Amy Michelle and Christopher Key of Woodward; his grandmother Evelyn Ridenour of Woodward; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
