Evelyn Joy Dudley, 64 passed away January 3, 2011 at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 2:00pm at the First Christian Church in Helena. Burial will follow in the Karoma Cemetery at Goltry. Arrangements are made by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc of Helena, Oklahoma.
Evelyn was born at Arnett, Oklahoma to William Clyde and Violet Ferguson Hosier on October 1, 1946. She attended Arnett school. On May 24, 1965 Evelyn and Lloyd Dudley were united in marriage and had one daughter Joy Lynn. Lloyd preceded her in death on September 30, 1969. Then Evelyn and Don Forrest had one daughter , Carolyn. Evelyn was a great bowler, did much crocheting and knitting and loved watching her grandchildren play all sports.
In addition to her husband, Lloyd, Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, William and Violet Hosier; sisters, Bessie Peacock, Elsie Hosier, Genevie Garrett and Violet Brummett; Brothers, Leslie Hosier, Billy Hosier, Joseph Hosier and William Hosier.
She is survived by two daughters, Joy Young and Carol Jackson; six grandchildren, LaShelle Myers and husband, Greg, Shalimar Weder, Danon Weder, Kimber Jackson, Kedric Jackson, Kashen Jackson; two great grandchildren, Zaylei and Colin Myers and one on the way. Two sisters; Lula Barton and husband Jerry, Mary Bryant and husband Jay; two brothers Henry Hosier, Robert Hosier and wife Charlene; two sisters-in-law Lucille Hayes and Betty Dudley.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer society through the funeral home.
