Clydene Brunson, 50-year-old Laverne resident died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008 in the Assembly of God Church in Laverne with the Rev. Wesley Peterman officiating. Burial will follow in the Laverne Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Clydene Gail (Clark) Brunson was born on March 12, 1957 in Beaver, Okla. to Clyde Edward and Joann (Grimm) Clark. She attended school in Forgan and Gate and graduated from Forgan High School. Clydene attended Woodward Beauty College and got her Cosmetologist License. She was united in marriage to David Leon Brunson on June 15, 1974 in Knowles, Okla. To this union four children were born, David Lynn, Alan Dale, Nicole Roxanne, and Melissa Trucilla. She found her true calling as a nurse and graduated from the L.P.N. Program at the High Plains Vo-Tech in Woodward.

Clydene was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Laverne. She loved planting flowers and especially roses. She loved spending time with all her grandkids and dogs!!

She is survived by her husband David Brunson of Laverne; her children, David Brunson and wife Charlene of Chickasha and their children Danny and Leslie; Alan Brunson and wife Amber of Cherokee and their children Devon, Blade and Braiden; Nikki Price and husband Lee of Pampa, Texas and their children Calvin, David, Violet, Autumn, Summer and Shyann; Melissa Winters and husband Billy of Enid; one brother Forrest Clark and wife Virginia of Ft. Supply; one half sister Jeannie Johnston of Woodward; mother-in-law, Esther Brunson of Laverne; one half brother Homer Goodale of Woodward; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson Dain Brunson and one half brother Jay Bond.
