Brenda Jo (Moore) Nichols was born on April 17, 1954 in Sublette, Kan. to Homer Moore, Jr., and Joan (Creeden) Moore. She died Sept. 5, 2005, at the Grace Living Center in Woodward, Oklahoma, after a long battle with brain tumors.

Brenda Jo Nichols grew up in Kansas and attended high school in Coldwater, Kan. She married Harry “Jackie” Nichols on June 23, 1972 in Coldwater. They began their married life in Fairview, Okla. and after a brief return to Kansas, they eventually settled back in Fairview. Brenda enjoyed working with the public and held several jobs at various restaurants, including Willy’s Café in Seiling, T.N.T. Deli in Chester, the Hi-Way Café, Frank’s Country Kitchen and Taco Mayo, all in Fairview. The first brain tumor was discovered in May of 2001 and after its removal, Brenda’s memory was lost forever. We were given a second chance and she enjoyed life to the fullest. She may not have remembered anybody, but it did not take her long to make a new friend. All of those who loved her will sorely miss her.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Jack Nichols, of Fairview; two daughters, Amy Tune and husband Bob of Fort Supply, Okla., Andrea, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and one son, Eric, of Woodward, Okla. Her joys in life were her four grandchildren; Brody, Alex, Riley and Miss Kyndall, all of whom loved her dearly. Also surviving are her mother, Joan Moore of Dodge City, Kan.; two brothers, Bruce Moore and wife Judy of Fort Worth, Texas, Scott Moore and wife Sheryl of Lawrence, Kan. and a sister Becky Moore of Dodge City, Kan. Brenda also has several Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss her.

She was preceded in death by her first babies, twin daughters, Stephanie Sue and Natalie Suzanne; her father Homer; both sets of grandparents; one infant brother, Jerry Moore and one infant sister, Yvonne Moore and her parents-in-law, George and Susie Nichols.
