The 13th edition of Crystal Christmas officially opened on Saturday with the lighting ceremony at Crystal Beach Park.

Hundreds gathered for the opening night, which included entertainment and fireworks.

Mrs. Claus arrived for the ceremony via the Air Evan Lifeteam helicopter and those attending heard from her and Mayor Bill Fanning.

Courtney Hall and Jennica Kinney of Mooreland entertained the audience with Christmas songs and the lights were turned on by J. Douglas Williams, Woodward's Citizen of the Year.

Crystal Christmas features over 3 million lights in several displays throughout the park, which is also in the midst of a $25 million renovation.

The light display is open each night through December.
