Action on a possible bond issue is among the items on the Woodward Board of Education’s agenda tonight.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. in the administration building.

Other agenda items include a hearing to take public comment on estimate of needs for the budget and various reports.

Board members will also consider taking action on the employment of Stephen L. Smith Corporation as financial consultant to the school district.

Action is also planned on revising the school calendar, approving district fund raisers, the alternative education plan, mentor teachers and possibly terminating the exclusive beverage agreement with Coca Cola.

An executive session to discuss negotiations and administrative support salary proposals, followed by action in open session, are also scheduled.


Woodward city commissioners will face a short agenda during its regular meeting on Tuesday.

Among the action items for the 7 p.m. meeting are quotes for roof repair at the Plains indians and Pioneers Museum and partial payment on the roof project at Woodward Regional Hospital.

Commissioners are also expected to consider a claim filed by a couple against the city for damage to a vehicle.

City commission meetings are held in the commission room at city hall.


A relatively short agenda also greets the county commissioners for their 9 a.m. meeting at the courthouse.

The biggest item is approval of the county budget for the 2005-2006 Fiscal Year.

Commissioners will also hear monthly reports and open sealed bids for a couple of 4x4 pickups.
