Riddle-Matherly

Sara LaRay Riddle and Wade Reed Matherly were united in marriage Oct. 28, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church in Woodward. Rev. Doug Burr of Edmond officiated at the ceremony.

Riddle’s parents are Rick and Berylene Riddle of Woodward. Matherly’s parents are Ted and Jenny Matherly of Olive. Grandparents of the couple are Luke Riddle of Woodward, George Matherly of Olive, Paul and Ida Lou McCrackin of Drumright and the late Beryl and Ruth Gray and the late Okemah Matherly.

The bride wore a satin A-line gown with beaded lace appliqué detail and a chapel train. She wore and elbow length teardrop veil with a scalloped beaded edge. Her long stemmed bouquet of autumn orange silk roses accented with smaller taupe, brown and ivory roses was lovingly created by the groom’s mother.

Matron of Honor was Christina Meister, friend of the bride. Attendants were Jennifer Kornele, friend of the bride, Lindsey Monroe, friend of the bride, Kristy Reece, sister of the groom, and Tina Winford, sister of the groom. The attendants wore tea length brown satin halter dresses. They carried bouquets which were a smaller version of the bride’s and were also created by the groom’s mother.

Best Man was Chance Maxville, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Shane Strasburg, friend of the groom, Chad Riddle, brother of the bride, Jim Reece, brother-in-law of the groom and Kelly Winford, brother-in-law of the groom.

Flower girl was Molly Reece, niece of the groom. Ring Bearer was Kaden Kornele, friend of the bride, and Konner Winford, nephew of the groom, was Honorary Ring Bearer. Savannah Gadberry, friend of the bride, lit the cathedral and spiral candelabras. The guest book was attended by Lori Chadick, cousin of the bride. The ushers were Kelly Chadick and Donnie Gillespie, cousins of the bride.

Organ music was provided by Karen Stephenson and vocal solos were performed by Dia McGowen.

A reception and dance was held immediately following the ceremony at the Moose Lodge in Woodward. Servers at the reception were Christy Chadick, Kellie Gillespie, Carly McCrackin and Kristal Bolinger.

After a honeymoon trip to Cancun the couple is at home in Sapulpa. Both are employed by St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.
