Nelson-Luthi wedding
Sally Elizabeth Nelson and Bert Don Luthi were united in marriage on Dec. 1, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Woodward. The wedding was officiated by Rev. Brett Allen.
Nelson’s parents are Greg and Becky Whiteley of Woodward. Her grandparents are Phil and Betty Rice and Frank and Lavena Whiteley, all of Yukon.
Luthi’s parents are Chuck and Wathina Luthi of Fargo. His grandparents are Glen and Wanda Luthi of Fargo and Mrs. Pauline Fischer and the late Edward Fischer of Optima.
The bride’s dress was an ivory lace strapless gown with a satin sash. The pickup skirt had beaded accents and a chapel train. She wore an ivory length veil and a single ivory rose in her hair. The bride carried a bouquet of red and ivory roses with gold accents.
Emily Nelson, daughter of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. She dressed as a miniature bride in an ivory lace, spaghetti strap dress that matched the one worn by her mother. She also wore an ivory rose in her hair and carried a miniature kissing ball bouquet made of red and ivory roses.
The bridesmaids were Mandy Cheap, Annie Harrel and Katie Karn, all sisters of the bride. They wore tea length royal blue dresses and carried kissing ball bouquets of red and ivory roses suspended from a gold ribbon.
The best man was Alex Luthi, brother of the bride. The groomsmen were Chris Long and Dale Ramsey II, both friends of the groom. Max Cheap, nephew of the bride, was the junior groomsman.
The flower girls were Lily Harrel and Ella Karn. They wore royal blue lace dresses made in the same style as the bride’s by Debbie Burnett, aunt of the bride. Sam Cheap and Cooper Harrel, nephews of the bride, were the ring bearers. Ben Cheap and Ryder Karn, nephews of the bride, were the honorary ring bearers.
Hannah Rice and Hunter Rice, cousins of the bride, lit the candlelabras. The guest book was attended by Amy Burnett and Ashley Dossett, both cousins of the bride.
The organ music was provided by Golda Duncan. Les Castor and Molly Caster were the soloists.
A reception was held immediately after the ceremony in the fellowship hall of the church. Courtney Wall, Jacie Upchurch and Amanda Wells served at the reception.
After a wedding trip to Copper Mountain, Colo., the couple has made their home in Sharon.
