Boomers look for 2-0 start


Woodward, Okla. — Notes: Barring a surprise this will be the end of the Woodward-Garden City series for at least a couple of years. Currently, the Boomers non-conference opponents for 2014-2015 are Kingfisher, El Reno and Northwest Classen. Garden City's Buffalo Stadium is just 2 years old as it was built as part a new high school. If you are going to the game, here are directions: The new Garden City High School and stadium is located on the Northeast side of town, off of the 156/83/50/400 loop.  Go North on 156/83/50/400 to E Mary Street and turn left.  Then turn right into Buffalo Way and stay right and continue to the North side of the school.  Parking for the stadium is on the West side of the field. The Boomer quarterback club will meet at noon at Big Dan's Steakhouse and the Boomers will leave for Garden City at 1:15 p.m. Woodward's home opener is next week against Northwest Classen.


Tonight’s area schedule includes Ringwood at Seiling, Waynoka at Shattuck, Sharon-Mutual at Agra, Pioneer at Mooreland, Buffalo at Boise City and Canton at Laverne.

Also, Chisholm at Fairview, Morrison at Alva, Thomas at Okeene, NM at Texhoma and Burlington, Colo at Beaver.

Game time at all sites is 7;30 p.m.
