WHS teams host games

Woodward, Okla. — Woodward baseball, soccer and softball teams are all playing at home today.

The Boomer baseball team faces Clinton at 5 p.m., while in softball, the Boomers host Pioneer at 5 p.m.

The soccer teams face Enid with JV matches starting at 3 p.m. and varsity matches at 6 p.m.

Woodward’s baseball squad is 1-3 and has lost its last 3 games in the bottom of the final inning after opening the year with a 1-0 win over Blackwell.

Clinton is ranked 11th in Class 4A and is coming off a 6-0 win over Sayre earlier this week.

After a 17-8 win over Vici on Tuesday, the Boomer softball team is 2-0 this year.

Pioneer comes in with a 5-1 record with the only loss to Blackwell.

Woodward’s 8th-ranked boys soccer team is off to a 2-0 start and will face an Enid team that is also 2-0 with  with wins over Del City and Sand Springs.

The Boomer girls are 0-2 and looking to break through against the 1-1 Pacers.
