Laverne takes perfect record into playoffs

Woodward, Okla. — Laverne cemented its status as the top-ranked team in Class B with a 36-18 road win at previously undefeated Pond Creek-Hunter on Friday.

The Tigers, 10-0, go into the playoffs as the top seed and will host Central High of Marlow this Friday night at Kilmer Field.

Laverne rolled up 394 yards in offense and was also able to slow the Panther attack.

Trevor Harris got the Tigers going with an 85-yard touchdown run and Tucker Rolf threw to Dalton Birch for the conversion.

Pond Creek-Hunter countered as Brady Krittenbrink caught an 8-yard pass from Josh Irvin, but the conversion failed.

Harris then scored 3 consecutive touchdowns for the Tigers on runs of 47, 27 and 56 yards as Laverne took a 26-6 lead in the third period.

Krittenbrink and Devan McKee scored fourth quarter touchdowns for Pond Creek-Hunter and Birch had 43-yard score for the Tigers.



Sharon-Mutual 53, Shattuck 6

Sharon-Mutual improved to 9-1 with a road win over the Indians.

Cooper Free scored 3 touchdowns and Konnor Harris 2 as the Trojans ended the game in the third period.

Free had runs of 15, 74 and 50 yards and also connected with Cody Campbell for a 73-yard touchdown.

Harris got the Trojans first 2 scores on runs of 36 and 39 yards. Ben Cooper and Dustin Baker added touchdowns.

Sharon-Mutual will host Corn Bible Academy on Friday in the Class C playoffs.



Forgan 52, Goodwell 0

Forgan completed a 9-0 regular season with a 52-0 win over Goodwell in a game that ended at halftime.

The Bulldogs, who will host Temple in the playoffs on Friday, scored 20 points in the first period and 32 in the second.

Dalton Lemieux tossed 3 touchdown passes and ran for 2 more to pace the Bulldogs. Trevin Lopez added a touchdown and Jake Regier had an interception return for a score.

Regier, Chandler Bryer and Jace Kerr all caught touchdown passes from Lemieux.



Okeene 41, Mooreland 12

The homesteading Whippets rolled up 294 yards rushing in defeating Mooreland.

Trent Turner and Scott Dobrinski had 2 touchdowns each for Okeene, which moves  on to the playoffs.

Landon Peach scored on a 92 yard kickoff return and Brice Gregory had a fourth quarter touchdown for the Bearcats.

Mooreland ends its season at 6-4.



Fairview 43, OBA 12

Fairview celebrated homecoming with a rout of Oklahoma Bible Academy.

The Yellowjackets scored early and often as they rolled up almost 500 yards in total offense.

Bryce Kippenberger scored twice and Grant Nightengale threw a pair of touchdown  passed and ran for another to pace the Yellowjackets.



Texhoma 41, Hooker 6

Texhoma wrapped up a 9-0 regular season by routing the Bulldogs.

Bryson Beattie rushed for over 300  yards and 4 touchdowns as the Red Devils tuned up for the playoffs.

Texhoma will host Snyder on Friday.

Hooker advanced to the playoffs a well and will travel to take on unbeaten Thomas.
