Sharon-Mutual, Laverne stay perfect on season

Woodward, Okla. — Sharon-Mutual and Laverne continued their perfect seasons with dominant victories in week four of the high school football season Friday.

Sharon-Mutual 60, Timberlake 12

The Trojans rolled up 469 yards rushing and overpowered Timberlake in a game that ended in the third period.

Timberlake actually scored first, but the 6-0 lead didn't last long.

Cooper Free's one-yard run and a 2-point conversion run by Justin Custar gave the Trojans they wouldn't relinquish.

Free broke a 92-yard run to make it 16-6 in the first quarter, then Sharon-Mutual scored 30 poison the second period on two touchdowns by Justin Custar, one by Free and one by Konner Harris.

In the middle of that outburst Timberlake added a touchdown.

Touchdowns by Harris and Ben Cooper in the third period ended the game.

Sharon-Mutual will take a 4-0 record to Boise City next week.

Laverne 62, Ringwood 0

The top-ranked Tigers (Class B) overwhelmed Ringwood in just a half.

A 40-point first period put the Tigers in command and they added 3 more touchdowns in the second quarter.

Tucker Rolf and Lane Lovell scored 2 touchdowns each and Hunter Person, Tanner Allen and Colten Person each scored one. Dalton Sparks had a touchdown on an interception return.

Laverne finished with 252 yards rushing on just 15 attempts and 268 yards overall. Ringwood had just 59 total yards.

Laverne is at Medford on Friday.

Seiling 61, Waukomis 50

Seiling put up a season high in points and needed most of them to fend off Waukomis.

The Wildcats built a 48-26 lead through three quarters then survived a wild fourth period that saw the teams combine for 37 points alone, 24 by Waukomis.

Eric Young scored four touchdowns and Britt Shuck had a pair of scoring runs to pace Seiling. Justus Crites scored six touchdowns for Waukomis.

Seiling had 593 yards in total offense as it evened its season record at 2-2.

Waukomis finished with 413 yards in offense.

There was only one punt in the game.

Seiling goes to Garber next.

Oklahoma Bible 19, Mooreland 13.

Kristian Stitt scored a pair of touchdowns as OBA held off Mooreland.

OBA took a 12-0 lead early before Mooreland scored on a 75-yard kickoff return by Landon Peach. Blake Murray's kick cut the lead to 12-7.

But the Trojans countered on a pass from Preston Atwood to Adrian Moore and led 19-7 at halftime.

The only scoring in the second half was a 1-yard run by Mooreland's Kyler Hensley

The Bearcats, 3-1, host Texhoma this week.

Okeene 14, Fairview 7

Scott Dobrinski scored two touchdowns in the second half as Okeene opened District A-1 play by edging the Yellowjackets.

Fairview led 7-0 at halftime on a 2-yard run Brett Fast.

Dobrinski's 39-yard run in the third period followed by his 2-point conversion run gave Okeene an 8-6 lead.

Dobrinski then scored on a 1-yard run with 5:01 left in the game for the 14-7 final.

Fairview wasn't able to answer in the last 5 minutes.

Covington-Douglas 34, Canton 22

Canton held a 22-6 halftime lead, but Covington-Douglas dominated the second half to get the win.

Hunter Carl led the Wildcats with four touchdown passes as he threw for 252 yards in the game.
