Boomers take on Warriors

(Continued)

Woodward, Okla. — *****

The area schedule is a busy one tonight.

Games include Alva at Cherokee, Arnett at Forgan, Moscow, Kan. at Balko, Texhoma at Beaver, Fargo at Buffalo, Vici at Canton, Chisholm at Fairview, Fort Supply at Leedey, Gage girls at Shattuck, Hooker at Laverne and OBA at Mooreland.

On Saturday, Shattuck travels to Buffalo and Fargo is at Turpin

Game time is 6:30 p.m. everywhere.

The top boys game sends Arnett, ranked third in Class B, to Forgan where the No. 1-ranked Bulldogs  await.

This is a rematch of last year's state finals won by Forgan.

Arnett is 12-6 so far this season with 3 of those losses coming in the Tournament of Champions over the holidays. The Wildcats won a tough road game at Hammon on Tuesday.

Forgan is 13-1 and coming off a win over Fargo on Tuesday. The Bulldogs lone loss was to Class 2A Hooker.

Another interesting boys game has the Hooker Bulldogs traveling to Laverne. Hooker won the Arapaho Tournament last week but was beaten by Texhoma on Tuesday. Laverne has built a 10-3 record and just climbed into the top 10 in Class A this week.

Texhoma will travel to Beaver for what should be another good boys game. Both teams expect to be factors in the Class A playoffs later this year.
