STILLWATER — Oklahoma State University launched a web page, response.okstate.edu to address the Sports Illustrated series, “The Dirty Game,” that debuted Tuesday on the SI.com website.
University spokesman said the page will be used to keep media, fans, alumni and the general public updated on Oklahoma State’s official responses to the SI report, and the university’s plans to move forward to investigate and address allegations of misconduct.
“As we have said, we will investigate the accuracy of the allegations and take all appropriate action, OSU President Burns Hargis said. “We do not condone or tolerate improper conduct in our athletic programs.”
The university will hire an independent investigator to review misconduct allegations once the series of stories has been published.
“We take the allegations seriously. Whether they have merit or not, we don’t know, But we will find out,” OSU Vice President of Athletics Mike Holder said.
The web page includes an area for statements by university officials. It also features an area designated to what others are saying, which compiles Twitter comments about the series.

Gilbert, OSU offense powers Pokes to blowout win
With Barry Sanders in attendance, the 15th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys kicked off Saturday’s blowout in the most fitting of ways — a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Justin Gilbert on the opening kick.
It was a nice nod to the Heisman Trophy winner, who returned the season opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown in 1988. For Gilbert it was his sixth career kickoff-return for a touchdown — which leads all active FBS players and is one shy of the FBS career record.
