Believe in yourself

Can I just say that I will never and have never looked "cute" before, during and certainly not after a workout! My face is beet red, my hair looks like a hurricane whipped through it and we won't even discuss the other issues. I've been asked if I need to sit down or throw up. I have probably even looked as if I needed a stretcher, LOL. Truth be told after some races or strenuous workouts I could use one!

During one of my classes in Dallas, we were asked to wear a heart rate monitor and do any exercise for 1 minute.  As they were strapping mine on, I warned them that I turn really red and my heart rate would shoot up quickly, but not to panic, it's normal! We began the test and as I began to turns shades of red, they jokingly said, "don't worry folks, she said this is normal." Upon completing the exercise, they then want you to bring your heart rate down within a minute, if you could accomplish this feat then you are considered to be fit. When they mentioned my name as one of the "fit" ones in the group, I started believing in me.  I know that may sound crazy, but to my ears, it was like I had just won a Grammy!!!
