Michael Dean Sims, 66, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2014. Mike was born on April 16, 1948 to Manco and Virgie Sims in Marlow, Oklahoma. He was one of eleven children. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathy Sims.

Donald E. Scheuerman II, 27, of Carlsbad, New Mexico and formerly of Fargo, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at the New Covenant Church with the Reverend Ed Dowty officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Karen Janette Bell, 54, of Sapulpa, OK, passed away Monday, April 21., 2014. She was born in Enid, OK on January 18, 1960 to Gean and the late George Scott. Karen graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1979 and went on to OSU Okmulgee and graduated in 1981. After graduation Karen moved to Bartlesville and went to work for Phillips Petroleum until the time she met and married her husband, Geordie's union came to two children Chelsea and Scott. Karen worked for The Department of Human Services and Creek County Health Department in Sapulpa. She enjoyed beading, crocheting, knitting, and watching the birds eat at the bird feeder her father built and gave her.

Saul Altamirano, seven year old Sharon-Mutual student, died Sunday May 4, 2014 in the Woodward Regional Hospital as the result of an ATV accident. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Reverend Joe Arledge as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.

Patsy June Adams Walker Bennett passed away peacefully on April 28, 2014 blessed with a long and fruitful life that she enjoyed immensely. She loved her work, and she loved her special ed kids. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. And she loved her friends.

A Celebration of Life for Harold Lewis Crites, 101, of Claremore and formerly of Enid, will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Carrell Still and Dr. Richard Duckworth officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, OK. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 PM Thursday. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Laverne was born on January 3, 1927, in Pond Creek, Oklahoma to Vernon H. and Nora (Hedges) Collins. Laverne moved to Fairview in 1928 and attended Fairview Schools, graduating from Fairview High School. On September 4, 1944, Laverne married Jakie Kusch JR. They were blessed with two children, Katherine Kay and Michael Leon. Laverne worked at Jon Gard’s Jewelry Store and also worked as a telephone operator. Several years later, she worked at George Francis Income Tax Service. Then for 22 years Laverne worked for Waldons Incorporated in the photography printing room, then transferred to the receptionist position and lastly was secretary for Walt Bartel.
Carolyn Sue (Salisbury) Zuelsdorf
Susie was born on August 10, 1958 in Woodward, OK; the daughter of John and Dixie Salisbury. Susie was raised in Vici, OK, attended Vici Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1976. Susie continued her education at High Plains Technology Center. Susie was united in marriage to Daryl Zuelsdorf on August 9, 2007 in Woodward, OK. Susie was blessed with one son, Cody McDowell and one step-son, Eric Zuelsdorf. The couple made their home in Woodward.
Doris Joy (Smith) Bunker
Doris Joy (Smith) Bunker went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 21, 2014. She was born on June 24, 1924 in Alden, Kansas to Isaac W. and Lola A. (Conley) Smith. She was the middle child of five children in the family. Being the only girl made it a fair bet that she was a little spoiled.
