Nada Beth (Ladd) Rowland
Nada Beth (Ladd) Rowland passed from this life on May 11, 2014, after a short battle with cancer. She was born June 18, 1943, to Loyd and Ilo (Helmick) Ladd in the home at Vici, OK. All of her schooling years were at Vici Public Schools. A few years later, she attended Enid School of Business earning her business degree, which she put to good use working at the Dodge City Sale Barn, various oilfield office jobs, managing apartment complexes and other business related jobs. She married Leroy Cunningham on June 12, 1959, and to this union one daughter was born, Tawnya LeAnn. In 1964, Nada Beth married Preston Beaty Osborn at Las Vegas, NV. They made their home in Dodge City, KS, for nine years.
John Walker Barrera
John Walker Barrera, 20 year old Vici resident, passed from this life and met his Savior, Jesus, on May 10, 2014 in Woodward, Oklahoma. He was the firstborn son of Robert and Erin (Warner) Barrera. He was born September 1, 1993, in Alva, Oklahoma. The family soon moved to Greensburg, Kansas, and then to Woodward, Oklahoma, where Walker started his education at Cedar Heights Elementary. He attended Woodward Junior High, Sharon-Mutual Public Schools and Vici Public Schools, graduating from Vici with the class of 2012. He furthered his education by attending High Plains Technology Center specializing in mechanics.
Verla Weeks, 99 year old resident of Gate, Oklahoma died Sunday, May 11, 2014 in the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 in the United Methodist Church in Gate, Oklahoma. Burial will be in the Forgan Cemetery in Forgan, Oklahoma under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Elma Clara Miller
Elma Clara Miller, former resident of Woodward, died Friday May 9th, 2014 at Emeritus at Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday May 13th at the First Assembly of God Church where the Reverend Ted Barker will be conducting the service. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Colleen Hosier, 84 year old Woodward resident, died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at her home in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Ray Blakley and the Reverend Shannon Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Jason Lee Bethea
Jason Lee Bethea, 36 year old resident of Vici, OK, passed from this life on May 7, 2014, as a result of a tragic car accident. Jason was born on March 5, 1978, in Camden, AR, to Cynthia Gale and Ronald Ray Caldwell. Jason attended grade school at Zanies until 1990, when he moved to Wilson, OK, where he graduated with the class of 1997.
Michael Dean Sims
Michael Dean Sims, 66, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2014. Mike was born on April 16, 1948 to Manco and Virgie Sims in Marlow, Oklahoma. He was one of eleven children. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathy Sims.

Donald E. Scheuerman II, 27, of Carlsbad, New Mexico and formerly of Fargo, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at the New Covenant Church with the Reverend Ed Dowty officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. Karen Janette Bell
Karen Janette Bell, 54, of Sapulpa, OK, passed away Monday, April 21., 2014. She was born in Enid, OK on January 18, 1960 to Gean and the late George Scott. Karen graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1979 and went on to OSU Okmulgee and graduated in 1981. After graduation Karen moved to Bartlesville and went to work for Phillips Petroleum until the time she met and married her husband, Geordie's union came to two children Chelsea and Scott. Karen worked for The Department of Human Services and Creek County Health Department in Sapulpa. She enjoyed beading, crocheting, knitting, and watching the birds eat at the bird feeder her father built and gave her.

Saul Altamirano, seven year old Sharon-Mutual student, died Sunday May 4, 2014 in the Woodward Regional Hospital as the result of an ATV accident. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Reverend Joe Arledge as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.
