  • Keith Larry Buchanan

    Keith Larry Buchanan was born December 05, 1941 in Woodward, OK. and passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 in Brookshire, TX.

    Keith was a generous, kind-spirited man who loved life and family. He spent most of his career serving as Assistant Vice President of Operations at the First National Bank of Oklahoma. In his later years, he also owned a small business in Austin, TX.

    Eva A. Thomas, 89 year old long time Fargo resident, died Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Woodward Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Woodward with the Reverend Tony Barros officiating. A private family burial will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Billings Funeral Home.

    Muriel L. Cooley, 86 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Woodward Regional Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Kibby Cemetery, north of Ft. Supply. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Herbert Wayne Bittman was born September 23, 1915 in Lookeba, Oklahoma to Albert and Pearl (Lisenberry) Bittman. He passed from this life on March 18, 2014 at the age of 98. He grew up and went to school in the area around Binger, Oklahoma.

    Dr. Billingsley was born Oct. 5, 1927, to Emeth Lee and Edith May McAfee Billingsley in the family farmhouse near Mutual. He was reared on the homestead and began his education in a one-room country school named Pleasant Valley, District 40. He lettered in basketball, was active in 4-H, the 4-H Victory Project and graduated valedictorian from Mutual High School.

    Steven Wayne Salisbury passed from this life on March 16, 2014 as the result of a tragic auto accident. He was 57 at the time of his death. Steve was one of seven children born to John and Dixie (Miller) Salisbury. He arrived into their family on January 10, 1957 at Woodward, Oklahoma.

    Johnny Hensal, 85-year-old resident of Woodward, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 in the Grace Living Center in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Don Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

    A funeral service for Opal Nickel, 96, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Fairview. The Rev. Richert Redinger will officiate. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Mooreland Park Cemetery in Enid, OK. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

    Wilford "Gene" Eugene Dixon was born on March 26,1927 in Burden, KS to Raymond Lee and Jewel (Yost) Dixon.
Gene attended school in Kiowa, KS and Anthony, KS were he graduated in 1945. In 1946 he went into the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War and as Chief Warrant Officer.
