  • Allen Moulder Allen Dean Moulder

    Allen Dean Moulder, 60 year old former Woodward resident and current El Reno resident, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Shane Rackley officiating.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.

    Aubery Burl Ridenour was born on November 1, 1928 to Wayland and Marie Ridenour of Chaney, Oklahoma - the first of four children. He was promoted to Glory on January 30, 2014.

    Jackie Baird, 89 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at her home south of Woodward.  A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Gordon Lawson officiating.  A private family burial will be held.

    Dean Moore, 66 year old Woodward businessman, died Saturday, January 25, 2014.  Memorial funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 in the FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH of Woodward with Reverend Charlie Bauman and Reverend John Curtis officiating.  The Billings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

  • Melvin Nix Melvin Nix

    Melvin Nix, long-time Woodward businessman, passed from this life on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Grace Living Center in Woodward, Oklahoma at the age of 99 ½ years. Graveside services will be held Wednesday January 29, 2014 at 4 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery with Reverend Jeremy Skaggs officiating and Masonic rites given by members of the Woodward and Arnett Masonic Lodges. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

    Nancy Sager, 56 year old Shattuck resident, died Saturday January 25, 2014 in Shattuck. Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the Gage Cemetery with Reverend Larry White officiating. Services are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.

  • Linda Phillips.jpg Linda Sue Phillips (White)

    Linda Sue Phillips (White) was born March 5, 1940, to Walter Warren White and Zelma Mae White (Knight) in Woodward, OK. Linda was united in marriage to Don Phillips on March 12, 1957 in Mooreland, OK, where they made their home and had four children. She graduated from Mooreland High School in 1958, where she served as a State FHA officer. Linda kept the home and family in order and was instrumental in the family cattle business. Along with her husband, Linda ran the Sand Hill Cattle Co. Steakhouse in Mooreland that opened in 1975. She later owned and operated Trader’s Bistro, a restaurant in Woodward. Linda was a supporter of the 4-H Program and the Mooreland and Woodward County fairs. She was a devoted wife, mom, and grandma, who enjoyed scrap booking, baking, sewing, having family gatherings, and keeping track of the baby calves in the family cattle operation.

Stephenson, 59 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his home in Woodward.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Bob Nusser officiating.  Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

    Sandy Carpenter, 58 year old Mooreland resident died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in Mooreland.  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 in the  Billings Funeral Home Chapel in Woodward with Reverend Beau Hague officiating.   A private family burial will be held following services.

    Dorothy June Bates, was born in the Kibby Community south of Buffalo, Oklahoma to George and Evelyn (Dickinson) Pauls. June grew up in the Harper County and graduated from the Buffalo High School with the class of 1943. June married Merle “Bucky” Bates at Woodward, Oklahoma on August 25, 1943 and to this union 2 children were born Aaron and Jan. The family made their home on a farm in the Willard community area just north of Buffalo.
