Woodward, Okla. — Alvida Vaughn, 62 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her home in Woodward. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Alvida G. (Elem) Vaughn was born January 31, 1951 in Loveland, Colorado to Joseph H. Elem and Alta Irene (Caldwell) Elem. She was united in marriage to Wayne Vaughn on March, 18 1987 in Arnett, Oklahoma. She enjoyed being a homemaker for her family. Alvida also loved gardening, crocheting and caring for her animals.

Survivors include husband Wayne Vaughn of Woodward; three daughters, Iris Coats of Lafayette, Louisiana; Amber Vaughn of Amarillo, Texas, Emily Bustos of Amarillo, Texas; one son, Shawn Coats of Woodward; five grandchildren, Tyler Tolle; Ashley Stallings -Vaughn; Diamond Drone; Zachary Bustos and Cody Coats; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family of Alvida would like to express their thanks to the Shattuck nursing home and Hospital staff for their constant care and compassion given to Alvida during her stay there.
