Woodward, Okla. — George Plummer 59 year old Clinton resident formerly of Woodward died Monday, July 8, 2013 in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 11, 2013 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tim Mascarenas officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

George Douglas Plummer was born on July 17, 1953 in Clinton, Oklahoma to William Dorsey and Grace Evelyn (Surveyor) Plummer. George was reared in Woodward attended school in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School in 1971. After school George went to work in the oilfield working for various companies for the next 37 years until his retirement. He was united in marriage to Debra Reed on August 15, 1976 in Woodward. George and Debra made their home in Woodward until 2008, when they moved to Clinton when he got sick.

George enjoyed many activities with his family including camping, fishing, and noodling. He was also an avid OU fan and spent many hours cheering on the Sooners.

George is survived by his wife Debra of the home; daughter, Jennifer Wilkinson and husband Wes of Mustang; two sons, George Plummer, Jr.; Billy Joe Plummer both of Clinton; brother, Allen Plummer of Woodward; sister, Caroline Plummer-White and husband Rick of Clinton; several nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Andrew Yellow Eagle, and Nelson Yellow Eagle, and sister Etheleen Perrin.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
