Woodward, Okla. — Seth Gardner Rutledge, 18 year old Mooreland resident, died Thursday, October 31, 2013 in Oklahoma City.  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Woodward.  Interment will be in the Mooreland Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the Billings Funeral Home in Woodward on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.


Seth Gardner Rutledge was born on June 12, 1995 in Norman, Oklahoma; he was the son of Travis Kent and Lisa Kathleen (Terry) Rutledge.  Seth was reared on the family farm and has attended the Mooreland Schools since Kindergarten.  He was currently a Senior at Mooreland High School.  He was very involved at school, participating in FFA, football and baseball.  Because of his health he had to stop playing sports in high school.


He was a member of the Quinlan United Methodist Church.  Seth enjoyed fishing, hunting, being on the farm, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.  Seth bled Orange and was a die hard OSU fan.  He was upbeat all of his life and never quit at anything.  “He was quite the Young Man.”  He will be missed by all that knew him.


Seth is survived by his parents, Travis and Lisa Rutledge of Mooreland; two sisters, Lora Rutledge and Traci Rutledge; his Nannie Jean Rutledge of Woodward; his beloved girlfriend Becky Dewald of Fargo;  numerous other family members and special friends.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
