Woodward, Okla. — PEGGY GREEN, 84 year old Woodward resident, died Sunday, September 15, 2013 in Woodward. Private family services will take place at a later date. There will be a gathering of friends at the Woodward Elks Lodge #1355 at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2013. Cremation services provided by Billings Funeral Home.

Peggy Clarice (Laubhan) Green was born March 3, 1929 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Albert G. and Vera (Farmer) Laubhan. She was reared in the Woodward area. Peggy attended the Woodward Schools gradu- ating with the class of 1947. She received her degree in Bookkeeping from Oklahoma A&M, which is now known as Oklahoma State University. While attend- ing college Peggy met William Stafford “Bill” Green. They were united in marriage on October 30, 1949 in Woodward, Oklahoma. During their first years of marriage Peggy and Bill lived in several places. In 1962 Peggy and Bill returned to Woodward and have lived here since that time.

Peggy had many hobbies that included golfing, bridge, and reading any type of book. She loved her pets but she found her greatest enjoyment in spend- ing time with her family.

Peggy worked as a bookkeeper for Hillcrest Pharmacy for many years.

Peggy is survived by two daughters Cathryn D. Green of Oklahoma City; Nancy J. Green of Germany; one brother Doug Laubhan and wife Karen of Enid; two sisters Patricia Richter and hus- band Earl of Enid; Sydney Courington and husband Newt of Castle Rock Colorado; one grandson Matthew Taylor Hammons and Tiana of Austin, Texas; one great-grandson Taylor Jakson Hammons of Austin, Texas; nieces and nephews, Kimberly Laubhan Kapka; Kent Laubhan; Kip Valentine; Craig Valentine; Steve Courington; Scott Courington; other relatives and many friends.

Memorials may be made to The Jude Ranch Animal Sanctuary with the funeral home accepting contributions.
