Roger William Stolzy, 64 year old Woodward resident, died Monday, July 15, 2013 in Woodward. Cremation services have taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Roger William Stolzy was born on April 19, 1948 at Beggs Air Force Base in El Paso, Texas to Charles William and Nancy Kathleen (Ely) Stolzy. Roger grew up in Burkburnette, Texas and attended school in Burkburnette.
He was a talented and proficient mechanic who loved working on "Old Blue" his old faithful Chevy truck. Roger was always willing to help work on cars of friends, family and even strangers in need, but mostly got enjoyment from his kids and nephews. He enjoyed fishing and boating, old movies, cooking and listening to country music spending time with his family and friends. He was a man dedicated to his family and would often convey the importance of family.
Roger is survived by one son, Chad Stolzy; one daughter Hunter Stolzy; two brothers, Steve Stolzy, David Stolzy; two sisters, Jane Starnes, Ida Whitted; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Johnny Stolzy.
Roger had many friends and family that loved him unconditionally and will miss him bunches. His son, CJ (Chad and daughter Baby Doll (Hunter) were most precious in his heart. Roger... Dad, Brother, Uncle and Friend- We will all miss you, and keep you in our hearts till we see you again.
