Woodward, Okla. — Belva Rice, 84 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday July 10, 2013 at the Grace Living Center in Woodward. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 16 2013 at the Woodward Church of Christ with James Bailey and Jim Rucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.
Belva Joyce Story was born November 22, 1928 in Madill, Oklahoma to Mack and Maud (Woolery) Story. She graduated from Pauls Valley High School in 1946. On February 18, 1950 Belva married Charles Rice in Denison, Texas. She owned and operated Tots and Teens Retail store for over thirty years. Belva’s greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.
Belva is survived by her husband Charles of the home; son Larry Rice and wife Debra of Woodward; grandson Chris Striplin of May; granddaughter Ashley Soliday and husband Jeremy of Woodward; great-granddaughter Marley Soliday of Woodward; Great granddaughter and grandson Callie and Westen Striplin of May. Belva is also survived numerous other family members and a host of friends.
Belva was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Paul Story and one sister Wilma Story.
