Woodward, Okla. —
LaVonne (Spinden) Loofbourrow, 82 year old Woodward resident, died Friday, July 19, 2013 in Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2013 in the Pioneer Cemetery, south of Beaver. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Free Will Baptist Church in Woodward. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Kathryn LaVonne Spinden Loofbourrow was born February 23, 1931 in Guymon, Oklahoma to Torman Ralph and Stella Beatrice (Whaley) Spinden. She was reared in the Guymon and Optima area and graduated from Guymon High School in 1949. LaVonne was united in marriage to Robert Loofbourrow in 1951 in New Mexico and they were blessed with four children, Robert W., Terry, Ann, and Jane.
LaVonne graduated from Beautician school in Woodward and worked as a Beautician for a number of years. She was a very talented decorator who loved painting and bowling. She mostly loved being with her family who will miss her dearly.
She was a long time member of the Free Will Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Quilting Club.
She is survived by one son, Terry Loofbourrow and wife Linda of Kingston; two daughters, Ann Kincannon and husband David McCleskey of Austin, Texas, Jane Gaston and husband Scott of Webb; grandchildren, Chad Fleming, Todd Fleming, Kelby Kincannon, Terrina Edwards, Christopher Scott, Daniel Gaston, Kristy Benson; one sister Kay Brinkley and husband Kenneth of Amarillo, Texas; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Robert W. Loofbourrow and a brother James "Bud" Spinden.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Western Plains Youth Shelter with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
