LaQuita Eller 72 year old Woodward resident died Friday, July 12, 2013 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in the Bible Baptist Church with the Reverend Mickey Flynn officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
LaQuita Francis (White) Eller was born on November 13, 1940 in Spearman, Texas to James Willis and Katie Lee (Ivey) White. LaQuita spent most of her childhood in Spearman where she attended school. LaQuita was united in marriage to Bobby Allen Eller in Gruver, Texas on July 19, 1956. They made their first home in Spearman. LaQuita and Bobby were blessed with three children, Bill, James “Bubba”, and Carmelita. LaQuita and her family also lived in Hobbs, New Mexico and Perryton, Texas before making Woodward their home in 1964. LaQuita worked for Jerry Pinkley, Diamond Construction, J.D. Hodges. and drove a flag car for Lanes Motor Freight. LaQuita and Bobby also drove cross country for National Carrier accumulating between 125 and 150 thousand miles per year for more than 10 years.
LaQuita was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Queen Esther Chapter of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron. She also coached basketball at Kids Inc. for 12 years. LaQuita enjoyed camping, fishing, music, dancing and her puppies. Most of all LaQuita loved to spend time with her family, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Billy Bob Eller and wife Sandy; James Allen (Bubba) Eller and wife Donna all of Woodward; eight grandchildren, Shane Eller and wife Vicki; Sabrina Krueger; Tara Andrea all of Woodward; Shannon Lowden and husband Mike of Ft. Supply; Rick Hurst and wife Tacy of Woodward; Brandon Hash and wife Sharee of Buffalo; Garrett Eller, Rylie Eller both of Woodward; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Venita Matthews and husband James of Woodward; several nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby on July 27, 2008, her daughter Carmelita Allison on November 16, 2007 and two grandsons, Brandon and Bryon Allison on April 26, 2006.
