Zachary Levi Barton was born to Randall Neal Barton and Deborah Kay Haller on October 6, 1982 in Pampa, Texas. He passed from this life on June 17, 2013.
Zach attended grade school in Bethany, Oklahoma and Guymon, Oklahoma. During his youth he was an active member of both the Boy Scouts and Adventure Scouts. He also took Tae Kwon Do and worked his way up to a brown belt. While living in Bethany, Zach attended the Bethany Nazarene Church where he took part in quiz bowls and he won the Benzie Award.
Zach graduated from Guymon High School with the Class of 2002. He continued his education at Panhandle State and later at the Chisholm Trail Technology Center.
Zach was baptized at the age of 17 and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Guymon. He loved working with the youth and helping maintain the church.
On June 14, 2003, Zach was united in marriage to Lyndsay Sharelle Lofties in Guymon, Oklahoma. To this union Karter Blake Barton was born and he was the light of Zach’s life.
Zach worked in customer service and as an artist. He enjoyed many hobbies, rebuilding cars, doing artwork, tattooing and studying the Bible. He could talk scripture all day long.
Zach was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ben Barton and Lewis R. Jones Sr. and two great-grandmothers, Mary Lee Barton and Faye Collins. He is survived by his son, Karter Barton and Karter’s mother Lyndsay Barton of Guymon, Oklahoma; mother Deborah Hoobler of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; father Randy Barton and wife Judy of Woodward, Oklahoma; brother Riley Barton and wife Katie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters Leandra Hoobler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ashley Hoobler of Stillwater, Oklahoma; grandparents Mamie Lee Karn and husband Hayden of Vici, Oklahoma and Rose Mary Bach of Portland, Oregon; aunts Cathy Chambers of Vici, Oklahoma, Jennifer Baxter of Yelm, Washington and Lilly Manley of Lawton, Oklahoma; uncles Lewis Jones of Portland, Oregon, Eric Jones of Portland, Oregon and Jason Jones of Portland, Oregon; cousins Amy Toews and husband Justin of Vici, Oklahoma, Tyson Chambers and wife Stephanie of Elgin, Oklahoma and Matthew White of Portland; Oregon; other family and a host of friends. Zach never met a stranger and was loved by everyone he met.
