Woodward, Okla. —

Twyla Mae Rutledge, 91 year old Woodward resident died Sunday, February 9, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jesse Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Twyla Mae(Yeager) Rutledge was born in Woodward County on September 13, 1922 she was the daughter of Henry S. Yeager and Mae L. (Vining) Yeager. She was reared in the Woodward and Mooreland areas. Twyla graduated from Mooreland High School.

On July 25, 1941 Twyla was united in marriage to Robert Ray Rutledge in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their first home north of Woodward before moving into town. To this union three daughters were born, Karen, Linda, and Janice.

Twyla worked in the clerical field for Woodward Regional Hospital for many years.

Twyla enjoyed sewing, and cooking. She was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Twyla is survived by three daughters, Karen Brown of Victoria; Texas; Linda Pritchard and husband Pete of Kansas City, Missouri; Janice Rutledge of Woodward; two grandsons, Eric Brown; Jonathan Pritchard; three great-grandchildren, Evan Brown; Isabella and Jocelyn Pritchard; many, many, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Ray Rutledge on March 14, 2010, 4 brothers and two sisters.
