Woodward, Okla. — Kenneth C. Conine 68, of Harrison Arkansas passed away Wednesday April 3, 2013 at his home in Harrison. The son of Calvin and Ruth (Sweet) Conine was born August 20, 1944 in Mooreland, Oklahoma.

Kenneth attended Heronville grade school and Jackson Jr High in Oklahoma City. The family returned to Vici and Kenneth graduated from Vici High School in 1962.

He joined the Navy after high school and served his country for 23 years. After his retirement he worked for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier. Ken was united in marriage on March 11, 2000 to Karol Hearing. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Harrison, the Loyal Order of the Moose and the VFW.

Ken loved his family and friends. He will be missed for his wonderful sense of humor and his good heart. He would do anything for his friends and family and he kept everyone laughing at his jokes. Ken enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time outdoors.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Calvin Conine, his grandparents Ralph and Iva Sweet, Everett and Mabel Conine.  Kenneth is survived by his wife Karol Hearing Conine; daughter, Amanda Coleman and husband Chuck of Ohio; Darlene Kirkpatrick and husband Greg of Little Rock, Arkansas; Gary Lee Hearing of Harrison, Arkansas; sister Cheryl Conine  Roberson of Enid, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Garrett Kirkpatrick of Little Rock, Arkansas and Sergeant Coleman of Ohio; granddaughter, Rune of Ohio; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Memorial services were held Friday June 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, Vici, Oklahoma with interment following in Sunnyside Cemetery, Vici, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family and Memorial Tribute viewed at
