Woodward, Okla. — David Leroux, 55 year old Woodward resident died Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Woodward. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, March 20, 2014 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eric Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
David Kent Leroux was born on November 21, 1958 in Pratt, Kansas the son of Ronnie Gene Leroux and Glennis Georgeann (Mall) Leroux. David and his family moved to Woodward when he was young. He attended Woodward schools and graduated from Woodward High School in 1977. During his early life David worked for Brand X Perforators. David then went work in construction, a job that he loved. He was a very gifted carpenter.
He was united in marriage to Bonnie Sue Grey in 1988, and they made their home in Woodward. To this union three children were born, Amber Michelle, Amanda Megan and Aaron Michael. David enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, and golfing when he was able. David’s children were the love of his life. He lived to be with them and his grandchildren. He was a devoted Papa to his five grandsons, the newest was three weeks old and he was privileged to meet him before his death.
David is survived by two daughters, Amber Coker and husband Thomas of Woodward; Amanda Leroux of Shattuck; one son, Aaron Leroux of Woodward; mother, Glennis Leroux of Woodward; father, Ronnie Leroux of Flippin, AR; two brothers, Daniel Leroux and wife Karen of Perth, Australia; Tim Leroux of Woodward; grandsons, Bryce, Brogan, and Bo Coker, Rylan and Rayden Giddens; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Heart Research with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
