Gayle C. Fuller, 68 year old Woodward resident, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at her home in Woodward. Graveside funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Elmwood Cemetery with the Reverend Steve Bearden officiating. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Gayle (Farmer) Fuller was born on September 13, 1944 in Long Island, New York to George and Mildred (Kost) Farmer. She grew up in Long Island, New York and attended school there before moving to Tucson, Arizona. Gayle graduated from Catalina High School in Tucson in 1962. She was united in marriage to Virgil Lee Fuller on March 3, 1963 in Tucson, Arizona. They made their first home in Tucson and were blessed with four children, Robert Lee, Georgia, Scott, and Stacey. The family moved to Chickasha in 1980 and that same year they moved to Amarillo, Texas. Virgil was transferred to Woodward with his job in 1985 and Gayle has lived here since that time. Before moving to Woodward, Gayle had been a manager of many convenience stores. After Virgil had his stroke Gayle stayed home and took care of him.
Gayle loved going to garage sales and collecting old dolls. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Georgia Wood and husband Jim of Woodward, Stacy Schuermann and husband Tracy; one son Scott Fuller of Woodward; six grandchildren, Heather Shea, Kenny Schuermann, Monica Hayes, Kinsey Schuermann, Courtney Fuller, Robert Fuller, Scotty Stufflebean; four great-grandchildren, Hayden Herzer, Chyles Hayes, Aiden Stufflebean, Blayze Stufflebean; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mildred Fuller, her beloved husband Virgil on January 9, 2007, and her son, Robert Lee Fuller who died on February 22, 1990.
