Robert Kidd, Sr. 83 year old Woodward died Monday, January 6, 2014 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Dirks officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Robert Lee Kidd, Sr. was born on January 24, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Robert Wayne and Mattie Francis (Whitchurch) Kidd. Bob attended school in Oklahoma City and graduated from Carl Albert High School. Bob enlisted in the United States Army on July 27, 1948. He served his country during the Korean War and was Honorably Discharged on April 26, 1952. Bob was united in marriage to Hazel Alberta Cox on June 7, 1952. They made their home in Bartlesville. Bob worked in the oilfield for Dowell Service Company, and he retired from Dowell after 32 years of service. Bob and Hazel moved to Woodward in 1967. Hazel preceded him in death on November 20, 1999. Bob was united in marriage to Alice Venita Lookingbill on June 16, 2000 in Vici and they made their home in Woodward. After his retirement Bob worked at Quality Quick Lube and Walmart.

Bob enjoyed his family, camping, fishing and square dancing. One of Bob’s favorite memories was when he and Alice won a Corvette. He could always be seen handing out his cards as he never met a stranger.

He was a member of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, and the Woodward VFW and the Elks Lodge.

Bob is survived by four daughters, Shirley Clay and husband Howard of Watonga; Frances Louise Kidd of Woodward; Diana Lynn Kidd and friend Gene Harmon of Erick; Kendra Westphalen and husband Matt of Edmond; two sons, Robert Lee Kidd, Jr.; Jimmy Don Kidd Sr. all of Woodward; stepchildren, Beverly Drake; Sherri Herriman and husband Wayne all of Vici; Charles Lookingbill and wife Teresa of Vici; Wayne Lookingbill of Mooreland; 12 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Hazel, and wife Alice Kidd on November 7, 2013, son, Jackie Wayne Kidd, brother, Tommy Lester Kidd.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
