Woodward, Okla. — Jimmy “Jim” Sears Sr. former Woodward  resident and current Oklahoma City resident, died January 14, 2014 in Oklahoma City.  Graveside funeral  services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2014 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward with Larry Morris officiating.  Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.


Jimmy Charles Sears was born on April 7, 1946 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Burt and Bertha (Wiebe) Sears. David attended school in Woodward.  He never stayed still for very long traveling from place to place.


Jim enjoyed going to the casinos, riding his motorcycle, working on all kinds of cars and spending time with his family, especially his grand kids.  He loved traveling around the United States.


Jim is survived by four daughters, Jenny Lynn of McKinney, Texas; Jennifer Johnson and husband Tim of Oklahoma City; Jaylene Wilson and husband Jesse of Yale; Jessica Sears of Oklahoma City; one son, Jimmy Charles Sears Jr.  of Stillwater; two sisters Margaret Reagan of Rosston; Linda Morris and husband Larry of Oklahoma City; thirteen grandchildren;  other family members and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dennis and Leonard Sears; two sisters, Mary Sears and Norma Ford and one grandchild, Timothy Michael Johnson Jr.


The family suggests that casual clothing be worn to the service.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Sears Memorial Fund with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
