Woodward, Okla. —
Lynn Gonser, 59 year old Woodward resident, died Sunday, May 26, 2013 in the Woodward Hospital. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 30, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Billings Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at this time. Services are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Mary “Lynn” (Covington) Gonser was born December 20, 1953 in Cleburne, Texas; she was the daughter of Doyle and Emma Sue (Bean) Covington. When Lynn was young, the family moved to California and she grew up in Bloomington, California and attended school there. On January 13, 1971, she was married to Roy Gonser in Canadian, Texas. They made their home at Ft. Hood and the couple moved back to Woodward in 1972 and have remained here since that time.
Lynn was a homemaker and had spent twenty years with Covington Cycles. She loved spending time with her family especially the grandkids.
She is survived by her husband Roy of the home; one daughter, Tanya Johnston and husband Dan; one son, Jeff Gonser and wife Chasity, all of Woodward; three brothers, Jerry Covington and wife Kathleen of Woodward; Meredith Covington and wife Frances of Barstow, California; Bob Covington of Cleburne, Texas; two sisters, Jean Ligon of Joshua Tree, California; Teresa Covington of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Tyler Bryan, Larissa, Jacob and Morgan Gonser, Izabela Powell, Maxwell Johnston, Jerad, Jessica, Carmen Gonser, Kadynce Gambrel; Paul Johnston; sister-in-law and best friend, Lea Ann Gonser, several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Paul Gonser, Roy Jr. And Ricky who died in infancy; one sister, Brenda Cooper; one brother, Steve Covington.
